Our youth groups are a partnership between St John’s, 1st Lutheran Rock Island and 1st Lutheran of Moline. It is coordinated by Kristin Sieglaff, St John’s Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator, in consultation with the three pastors (aka the 3Ps). Kristin is happy to answer any questions you may have. All youth are welcome, as are your friends. Keep in mind that for events that involve transportation we may need to have a permission slip for friends, so just ask! Cost should never be a reason to not come to an activity. Talk to your pastor or Kristin if you need financial assistance for any event.

CLUB 456 GAMES NIGHT: THEY’RE JUST SO MUCH FUN!!

Saturday, 1/20, 6:30-8:30.
Attention grades 4, 5 and 6:
Join us Saturday, Jan. 20th for our most popular event: games night, and sundae bar. Bring your favorite game and ice cream topping, or chance it and see what we already have.
Please RSVP if you can. Bring a friend!! Bring two!!

On the Youth Partnership Wall of Fame:

Chelsea Herrera, Alison Carothers, Karissa Toppert, Sarah Drain, Lindsay O’Brien all get HUGE points for their thoughtful and expert shopping during our trip to purchase gifts for LSSI Foster Children.

Brent Balvanz, Alex and Mallory Noblet, Zach Dunn and Sarah Drain get a standing ovation for their hard work at the childcare drop-off. Sarah gets extra admiration for bringing very helpful friends.

Kate Dix, Brittany Anderson, Sandra Gomez and Alison Carothers did a spectacular job of wrapping a ton of gifts for the MLK Christmas Party.

WATCH FOR YOUR NAME HERE!!
Keep up the good work!

TUBING!!! (this year, we’ll even have snow!!)

WHO: Junior and Senior High
WHAT: Tubing at snowstar.
WHERE: Meet at St. John’s; we’ll carpool from there.
WHEN: Saturday, Jan 27, 9:30-2.
HOW (much): $12, plus a bag lunch, or money for lunch($6-10). Your wonderful youth partnership is chipping in some money to keep the cost down. As always, talk to your pastor if price would keep you away from this trip.
WHY: Do we need to ask? In addition to the obvious (that it’s fun, duh..) it’s really fun to watch Pastor Stacie jump up and down when you tell her we’re going tubing.
RSVPs and PERMISSION SLIPS REQUIRED!
(As always, friends are welcome, but will need a signed permission slip in advance.)

Epiphany Retreat: Jan 5-7

DRIVERS NEEDED!!!
Due to the GREAT response to this retreat, we have maxed out the St. John’s van, and need drivers. Please contact Kristin ASAP if you can help out.

The answer: Coffee and tea, nibbles, and NO ONE rolling their eyes.

The question: What will you find at the Confirmation parent coffee?

Please join us on January 17th for our ONLY parent coffee of the season. Activity schedules will be passed out, and Kristin will be available to answer questions. Childcare for all ages will be available.
